Warli Pada
[10/25/2004] These photos show the hut where the first English class for the children will be held. Next week we are beginning a school in this tribal village. It is close to the Immanuel Prayer House. You can easily see that this building is a mud hut. Most of these children do not have proper education with the government, because the government schools require the parents or tutors to teach the children at home. (You wonder why they have to attend?) There is expense in tutoring especially if the parents are uneducated. We have given notice of the school beginning and have indicated to the parents that they are welcomed to sit in each class since the school begins at 5:30 when the children (who go to government school) are released or when the children come home from working with their parents in the jungle areas collecting firesticks and leaves. This is such a blessed opportunity for these families.
