Life Changing Words Ministry

I have missed a few days because of being so tired by the time I get back to our room for the night. I am still tutoring for the English class, being part of prayer meetings, answering questions about "your place". Pastor’s youngest son, Gladson, dared to touch my arm as quick as you would shoo a fly off the table, yet he felt he had accomplished something he had wanted to do for a long time. Next time he came by me, I grabbed his arm and sat him on my lap. His face gleamed. He is now speaking English words mixed with his tongue language.
Sunday has been a full, full day. Two more souls came to the kingdom after the morning service. Ministry to these went until 2 pm. The first man was the husband of the pregnant woman who gave her life last Sunday to Jesus and received the counsel not to abort her baby. At first the husband wanted to just add Jesus to his collection of goddesses he attends. But through Lily, he came to know that he had to give up all others for Jesus. At first he said, no. But when Lily explained that his baby’s life was at stake, why would he give the honor of a healthy child to any other than the God of Life. Is his wage given to another on payday? No. Then why give what is due to Jesus to something else? He surrendered his heart. We also prayed for a good job for him that would only tell him that it was from Jesus.
The second man was from a tribal village, Borovilly, where there has been a lot of harassment with wild animals. He came for prayer for a job, but revelation that he was a drunkard came out and I asked him how he could come to ask for a job when he would not be able to keep it because of his habit. He just stood there looking down. When I told him that there was a hole in his heart that only Jesus can fill, he said that he wanted Jesus. So Lily led him in the sinner’s prayer and I started to pray for him in tongues. When I laid my hand on his shoulder, he started to become agitated. So I put my other hand on his heart and continued to pray in tongues. He began to bounce up and down until he bounced away from my hands, but we continued praying for him. He fell down and just sat there. When he got up, he still didn’t look at me. I persisted until he did look into my eyes and made him smile because I laughed out loud to the enemy, but I could see that there would yet be more prayer needed for this man at another time for his complete deliverance. The Holy Spirit will be faithful to fully deliver this man for His glory.
Monday we headed to Mumbai by local bus to go to the Children’s Orthopedic Hospital. One of the church ladies paid for Florie and I to go with her to see her step-nephew who was there. The ward he was on was for children with foot and leg problems. This boy had one club foot. He had already been there for one month. The doctors had put nail-like pins into his leg and bones to force the foot to grow in a straight direction for proper function. We prayed for this boy.
The bed next to him was empty, but the next bed was a little girl with a slightly crossed eye whose feet where in a tip-toe state. Her heel would not touch the floor. The little boy we prayed for called the girl over to his bed. Before I knew it, Florie had the whole family on the bed next to us so that we could share Jesus with them. The man and his wife accepted Jesus and we prayed for the man’s daughter, his lost wages, and the expense of the hospital, all to be in Jesus’ care.
While we were praying, another patient came to her bed. She was 13 and looked like eight. Her left leg was shorter than the other because of a fall on her knee at some point in her life. The ladies invited her and her guardian over to the empty bed which was now full of new-born believers. We saw two more added to the kingdom.
As we started to leave, they took us to another room and we met a girl, probably in her 20’s who had two club feet. She had been there for four months. Florie introduced herself and told her that Jesus loves to help people by healing faster. This wheelchair bound girl asked where she could find Jesus. Florie said He comes into her heart. So Jesus responded to her heart cry.
Signs and wonders follow those who believe... Each one was given the church phone number. Since they were all from far places, Florie asked each of them to call her, but more importantly, to go to a church near their home place and grow in the knowledge of Jesus. We are expecting to hear the good report testimonies in these dear ones lives.
Going to the bus stand, Florie says to me with a big smile, "Aunty, I want to take you to the mental hospital." This day we saw five souls come into the kingdom of God. YOU ARE TO BE PRAISED O LORD!!!
Bill and Pastor Paul got home this morning. We are taking the day off to rest and sleep. We have been invited out to someone’s home in Bhandup. Paul and Florie will come to fetch us around 7 pm. Whenever we are invited out to a home, there is always prayer and a word from God shared before the meal. My bangles provided the musical accompaniment for the worship songs. We always have fun together.
I am trying to learn some Hindi phonograms, but I cannot be consistent at this time. I do know the first 10 and can write eight of them in my last review. Progress takes time!
We leave for Pune on Thursday for a 10 day adventure. This will be our first time to go there. We don’t know what to expect, except that God has a plan.
