Life Changing Words Ministry

This year Fern Lancaster accompanied Georgene to West Mulund to minister for three weeks before Bill arrived. The ladies met with Dr. Devraj of Bombay Teen Challenge. They operate independently in India, but are associated with the USA base. Inspite of catching colds, the ladies ministered in alternate places as they were arranged.

LCWM purchased books for the Immanuel Prayer House for church enrichment and for discipleship training.

A three day ladies meeting was held on growth, discipleship, and family/marriage.

A visit to the village of Borivali brought back memories for Georgene and for Pastor Fern a new perspective on village life. Prayer and the word was shared. Then Georgene went to the hospital to see Pastor Paul's father, who had suffered a mild heart attack.

A baptism class with six young people and two adults was held by Georgene to prepare them for a November baptism. It was interesting in that it was taught in Hindi and English. The children acted as interpreters for the adults and the other children who did not know English. It was extremely fun.

The ladies went to Wadli Pada to listen to pastor-in-training Ravi preach. During prayer after the service, the Holy Spirit manifested and spoke to the hearts of the believers.

The day that Bill arrived in the evening, the ladies attended a Prophetic Prayer meeting held in Sion. It was the first time anyone had been to a meeting from 9 am to 4 pm with no break for tea or lunch. The only unfortunate part of the whole thing was the portion which condemned ministries by name. It ruined the whole testimony and meaning of the meeting for Georgene, as it terribly grieved her heart. Yet, the Lord spoke about the spiritual battle in shooting arrows of deliverance into the spirit realm for souls to be released for salvation in all areas of Bombay. We expect to hear that revival has broken out.

Pune was the place where we all received some respite from the heat. Pune is higher in elevation and cooler in temperature. The believers here experienced hearing the Lord during prayer. They had not ever thought about being quiet and waiting on the Lord to speak to them. Each one received a scripture and the lady who doesn't know how to read received a vision and a healing. They were amazed and happy to know that the Lord speaks to them through His Spirit. They were eager to do this again.

While we were in Pune, a prayer meeting was held in a house that eight people came to know the Lord. This houseowner requested that regular prayer be held in his home. So another little church has been planted by the Lord.

Pastor, Pastor Fern, and Padmini headed back to Mulund for Fern to leave for the States. The time she was here went very quickly.

The rest of us were invited to have lunch at one of the believer's house. In fact, it was the family that got saved when we were here last year. Their house was one of the miracles we had prayed for, so now we could dedicate it. After lunch, we found out that Sunil's hand had been burned when he removed the large pot from the fire. We prayed and applied Melaleuca oil. {It was completely healed when we saw him two days later.} Before we left their home, two ladies came for prayer and committed their lives to Jesus. We were told later that they were the wives of the same husband. (At least there may be greater peace in the house.)

Georgene held six classes teaching the leaders how to lead the flock in the elementary foundation of the Word. This will give a good basis for strong building of faith in new believers.

Georgene had fun with the ladies when she let them wear her long hair wig, yes, the Dolly Parton wig. We had a great time laughing and playing around. Our last activity before leaving Pune was visiting the local tourist spots -- the snake park and the sport park.

My next email will catch you up on our November activities.

Keep your prayers for protection and safety always before the altar. We can feel them on our behalf. We love you. Bill & Georgene
