Life Changing Words Ministry

Kay took us to the airport and we ran into some minor issues, such as, not having our luggage exact for the domestic at 50 pounds, but internationally 70 pounds is acceptable. But we cannot go on the connecting flight to the international flight with 70 pounds, without being penalized for extra weight. However, the factor of divine favor was working on our behalf and the seven pounds we were overweight was waived. We headed for the gate and security.
Security became our next hurtle. We have more than the allotted amount of toiletries and because we did not have them in a quart sized ziplock bag, all were removed from our carry on and we had to decide if we would throw them away. Of course, I said no. So the sweet young lady, who noticed I was a Melaleuca customer, told me that I could go back to the ticket gate and ask for my bag to be returned to put these items into it and take it back through the x-ray and it would be reloaded onto the plane. Again the factor of divine favor was working and all this was taken care of in plenty of time to be put on our connecting flight to Seattle.
We enjoyed a comfortable flight to Seoul, Korea and a full flight from there to Delhi. This was our first time flying on Asiana Airlines. The service was quite nice, although we were almost an hour late taking off from Seoul because of another connecting flight from Japan with quite a few passengers that it made it worthwhile to wait for it.
Needless to say, but it was about three am when we got to Gene’s house and the sleepy man helped us with our baggage. His condo looked like a tornado hit it. The owner has been repainting it since June and it has been promised to be finished – tomorrow! We all hit the hay at four am.
We got a couple hours of rest and I got up while Bill slept in till almost noon. He is usually the early bird, but the flights always throw him off on this side. [I get thrown off schedule on the return trips.]
After a fine lunch of mutton curry prepared especially for us, Bill and Pastor Sam went to get funds exchanged and to make the purchase of three of our needed train trip tickets. Only the return from Nagaland will be booked from there back to Delhi.
I took another two hour nap after lunch and did some paperwork so that I could start the expense recording and the journals.
This has been the longest day I can remember. However, I have noticed that it feels like we haven’t been away. I’m excited to see what the Lord has planned. This time I will be learning right along with the ladies in ministry. I can hardly wait to participate... it’s like I’m dancing on the inside!!!
Time to hit the hay!!! Thanks Lord, for our safe travel and smooth transition back into this field. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Good night.
