Life Changing Words Ministry

Missionary Journal

January 2008

The usual disturbances and light sleep made the rest of the night go quickly. Back at IPH for breakfast, we spent most of our day before the Lord.

Bill was packed for his trip to Delhi on Thursday. He would have to stay overnight at Pastor's house to be up early to get to the airport. We spent most of the day in church. Late afternoon Florie took Emma and me to the market. We needed to buy two tribal saris for the Wadli Pada program on Thursday evening.

Pastor came by to pick Emma and me up after he returned from dropping Bill off at the airport. Florie met me laughing.

"Uncle must not have slept well. He called to Pastor waking him, 'Pastor, it's time to go to the airport.' Aunty, it was four o'clock!"

"Do you think he was excited about going?"

"The alarm had not made noise."

Emma and I stay at IPH while Florie goes to the market to purchase the vegetables needed for the meal at Wadli Pada. They have taken a collection from the members for the meal ingredients.

At three in the afternoon we are ready to go to Wadli Pada. We sat outside the hut church for a while until some issue is resolved with Florie's assistance.

In the meantime, we go to Laxmi and Ramu's hut house. Manisha has come to help cook the large quantity of food. She is very good at it too. Emma and I sit and watch the ladies do their work in preparation of feeding the church members.

Emma notices that Sumitra is pregnant. Florie asks her if she is. [She has four children already. Her little brother is slightly younger than her oldest.] Tears begin to well up in her eyes. She tells Florie that she doesn't know if she is pregnant or not.

"I can tell from the way she is walking. She walks just like my niece when she was pregnant." Emma tells Florie.

Florie tells Sumitra not to worry. If she is pregnant, we will all welcome her child.

"Snake," someone yells.

As soon as I am able to grab my camera, I went outside of Ramu's house and found the children watching the small cobra weaving its way along the structure of the hut. I got a couple pictures before it disappeares among the sticks and firewood.

The wind becomes colder and we are able to move inside the hut church. After having a snack, Ravi's mother begins with me to dress me in the tribal sari. To be sure, I do bring a large safety pin for the back tie! Each one of the ladies is carefully and painstakingly dressed in the tribal method. The ladies are anticipating the tribal dances like last year.

However, it became clear to Emma and me that another one of the areas of change that the Lord planned was in Wadli Pada also. The wind blew harder and colder. Pastor made the call to shift the meeting from outdoors to inside the church hut. This limited the space available and the dance was cancelled, much to the disappointment of the ladies. Florie would learn that her husband was following the leading of the Lord and the Lord would reveal that to her Himself.

Our meal was delicious; everyone ate heartily. The young people took turns serving the members as we ate together in shifts. We thanked the ladies for their hard work.

"Khana bahot swadisht hai. Dhanyavad." (The food is very tasty. Thank you.)

Friday is fasting prayer day. We spent the day in prayer at IPH preparing for the evening meeting. Jayanth came for prayer. She felt a touch, saw a bright light and Jesus.

Next, Yogita brought a girlfriend for deliverance. Her girlfriend left without full deliverance. [She came because her friend showed loving concern for her.] However, the spirits of pride and whoredom remained because the girl wanted to keep them. You could see the disappointment in Yogita's face over her friend's stubbornness to be set free. Lord, have mercy and show her the truth.

During worship time on Friday evening, I felt in my hands a heavy weight in the shape of a box. Since I was kneeling behind some ladies, I set it off to my right on to the carpet next to me. I raised my hands again and received another box. This time I got up and walked up to the altar area (red carpet) to lay them down.

I stepped back behind Emma, who was standing worshipping facing the front. Again I raised my arms in worship. Another two items were handed to me at the same time. My hands formed around what felt like round balls or bottles.

"What are these, Lord?"

"These are vials, one of healing oil and the other of incense." I heard in my spirit.

I was so thirsty in my soul for these things that I reactively brought them up and pushed them into my heart. I even shared with the congregation that I took the action of putting them into my heart.

After the service when most of the people had left, I asked, "Charles, will you look at the boxes laid on the altar and tell me what are in them?"

"Yes," his eyes flashed with excitement.

I watched him pray and then approach the altar. He went right to where I had laid the box down. He raised it up to the Lord to thank Him and to ask permission to open it. When he opened it, he peered down into it.

Charles finished and walked back to where I was sitting.

"Aunty, it is as deep as an ocean and as big as a mountain. Angels are overhead by the ceiling. There are gems, jewels, innumerable gifts, like healings, tongues, and other wonderful things in it." The wonderment of the moment was clearly on his face.

"They are for the equipping of the saints." Emma stated.

Graceson, Pastor's eldest son, spoke to me, "Aunty, do you know what is in the other box?"

"No, I don't. What is in it?"

"There is gold and money in it."

"Praise the Lord! He has given financial provision to the church. This is very exciting!"

The boys shared what they saw with Pastor, who broke into praise with a grateful heart.

In the evening prayer worship, I also received a short javelin that I leaned up against the curtain under the cross at the altar. I went to retrieve it while we were praying for Ravi's mother after the service. [Charles revealed to the prayer team that in the spirit realm, a snake was wrapped around her waist on the outside.] I used it by prophetic action to cut it off of her. The Lord revealed to Emma that this snake was a perverse spirit. We told Ravi to have his mother fast for her deliverance. I had dropped the javelin when I went to catch her going down to the floor. Charles had to show me where it was at on the carpet, so I could put it back on the altar.

Because of the distractions we endured while praying for Ravi's mom, we decided to share with Pastor Paul the need for the younger interns to learn to pray for others. We instructed those in training to surround those who were praying as a circle; and pray in tongues supernaturally helping those ministering to others in prayer. They were to learn to pray with their eyes open watching what was happening. Charles would be asked what the Lord is showing him and be directed in how to overcome the enemy using his gifting.

Sunday evening Beulah was at the altar praying. The Lord put a box into her hands along with the scripture from Isaiah 9:8-21, indicating that there is a divine power that accompanies the word of God to bring to pass His judgments. She laid the box on the altar. Florie asked Charles to pray and asked him to describe the box.

He prayed, found the box, offered it up to the Lord for opening…only He is worthy!

He was almost breathless as he shared, "As I held the box up to the Lord, I suddenly saw a bright light flash. From it I saw two warring angels fly out of it. Aunty, I didn't turn around. It was like I had eyes behind my head. I saw the two warring angels go out the door to stand at their post and guard there.

"The Lord said, 'You are ready for the third box.' He also said, 'Bring ten souls in each month.' "

Emma replied, "The third box is the power of God to use these tools that have been given to Immanuel Prayer House."

"The glory is coming!!!" I laughed as the 'witness bumps' ran down my arms.

"The angels guard the glory of the Lord," Emma remarked with a smile.

Charles is always thanking God for choosing him and asks Him for the privilege of baptizing his father when the time comes.

LCWM purchased a novelty bed for the pastor's home to be used by Graceson and Gladson. [Bunk beds are not a common commodity for the slum community.] For the occasion, the room was painted yellow to brighten the room and to go with the color of the privacy curtains. The downstairs room was made into three living areas by using curtains. The first set divided the room into a private area for Emma while she was recuperating from her broken ankle. When the bunk bed arrived, we decided to add a trundle bed on rollers for any guests that come.

Adding a u-shaped bar to the i-beam ceiling support would allow for a perpendicular curtain dividing the area into two more areas – one for the boys in the bunk bed; the other for Beulah and her single bed. It all turned out better than ever. The temperature of the area is now cooler since the drape was hung in the church to close the entrance into pastor's residence. It is like having air conditioning in hot weather. Now the kids can go to bed and have a measure of privacy, even if Pastor and Florie are ministering on the other side of the curtain.

Wednesday the pastor's family, Ravi More, Emma, and I went to Chor Bazar (Thieves Market), although you can't call it that these days. It is now known as Bandi Bazar (Lady's Finger Market). It is in an entirely Muslim area. It adjoins the wholesale district. Bandi Bazar is like a huge flea market. I purchased a couple of practical items for Florie's kitchen and paid for the supper/snack before coming back. We walked until after dark, before finding a taxi to take what ended up as a two hour trip home.

The things we take for granted in the States are special highlights for this family. We all had fun. Emma never got that picture of the four goats lying on top of a car in the middle of the city, as we walked passed them.

At church on Thursday, Lata received her heavenly language. She was so happy. She comes everyday to pray before going to Ghatkopar with Ruth to teach the nursery children for two hours. She has a heart for evangelism. She has led her household to the Lord and trusts Him for the right life companion.

In the afternoon, I was worshipping. I went down on my back praying. After a few minutes, my body began to shake violently. I didn't know why, so I asked the Lord.

"The vials of healing oil and incense that you put into your heart, I want them back."

When He brought them out, I felt a great weight on my stomach. They were large containers that were heavy to push off myself and toward the altar. I did this twice. I was amazed. As I thought about this incident, I remembered pushing the small vials into my own heart. Without thinking (rationally) I had taken what was meant for the church. I sensed the mercy of the Lord, because in a sense, I had taken what He had given me for others.

"Yes, I have extended My grace to you. Whenever I give you anything in church or in the service, it is meant FOR the church. When you are in need of any of these things, come before Me and ask for whatever you want. Then My gifts are available to all My children."

"I'm sorry Lord, forgive me." I wept deeply.

"My grace of forgiveness flows to you," His Spirit spoke to my heart.

The other lesson I learned was the principle of restitution. The vials were like ball-shaped size that fit into my hands. What the Lord drew out -- containers were seven times larger and heavier, the restitution principle!

This afternoon at Pastor Dennis' house, he and his wife, prayed for his father to break the curse of suicide that took his mother's life, while Moses and Gladson prayed in tongues with their hands laid on their grandfather. Joseph experienced something he felt in his soul.

The Lord granted to Emma the privilege of receiving spiritually the Ark of the Covenant where the Lord sits in Immanuel Prayer House as King. She has a Jewish heritage and the anointing came to her through her pastor and church. Her testimony of the Ark came through a scroll that Bill's sister-in-law's sister, Melba, told her about. But that is Emma's story. I think that God is so awesome because of it and that He gave me the privilege of being here with Emma and to minister with her. Thank You, Awesome Lord God!

The next time Joshua came for prayer, he received a box of callings that left his hands shining so brightly he could see it. Charles saw the angel deliver it.

Charles received a javelin and a box of tools for the body of believers.

I received a bowl of the Blood of Jesus. I went around sprinkling it over all those who were in the church. Charles went home to anoint his house. He took some water and went about fulfilling his directive from the Lord. He saw that it was covered in the blood of Jesus. It brought him peace and he slept.

At another time, the Lord spoke to my heart. I knew I needed to offer forgiveness to each one who was in the church for prayer. "Receive this grace of forgiveness from Jesus." Each one took it by faith from my hands and put it into their hearts.

Friday I spent in the Word drawing on the word: strength. The Lord promised me through prophetic word that He would strengthen me for the new things He would be bringing after He brought me 'full circle'. I want to spend more time meditating on these scriptures.

Saturday was a day waiting on the Lord and resting in Him. Four more people were being baptized today from the main IPH and from Bhandup branch church.

Florie took us to Lata's house for prayer meeting. We prayed for her mother, Miriamma, her elder sister, Geetha, her brother, Santosh, her Aunt Mary, nephew, Mony, her relative, Sheila and Sheila's son, Loran. Neighbor ladies also came for prayer. Then, Lata served the meal she cooked for us. She is a very good cook too.

We are 13.5 hours ahead of Oregon, where our LCWM President, Peter will marry his beloved, Christy. We pray for their godly life together and blessings from above for their future destiny.

In the new things the Lord is doing, Pastor was not to have anyone preach from the pulpit -- unless the Lord directed him. He also needed to learn how to preach under the anointing that came with the worship. He still wants to do the old with the new, but the Lord is not allowing it. The anointing lifted. We couldn't pray as effectively as when the anointing is there.

I went with Florie and Joshua to the Ghatkopar church. I gave a message from Proverbs 3:5-10. We had a good time of fellowship together and with the people. Joshua went home by bus because Ruth came back with us.

On our way out the door to go back to the Powar house, Pastor's cellphone rang. It was a pastor from Tamil Nadu. He had called earlier to talk to Pastor. Now he had a word for Emma and me individually. For me I listed quickly what he spoke: many are observing your ministry; God is doing a new work in your heart; you will be training multitudes for water baptism; your ministry was birthed in tears and troubles in life; you are a chosen woman; no weapon can stand before you; Exodus 34:10; many family members will come to you to help; those troubling you will be removed by the Lord (Is 49:25-26); Zeph 3:15; Micah 4; and Isaiah 60. All I could do was pray.

Emma confirmed what he spoke to her.

When I got into bed and the lights turned out, I saw a spirit just 6" from my face looking at me. The nose of this creature was like a snake. At the location of the eyes of a snake, its body makes a 90 degree turn up where the eyes were then located. Its eyes were not round, but slanted with red pupils that were also black. From there the form was more flat, but tentacles looking like jointed spider legs went from all over the head and body. It was white, but each scale was outlined in black. It peered at me.

"I rebuke you in the name of Jesus." I declared and prayed in tongues, although I was not afraid of it.

In my mind, "Lord, what is it?"

I physically opened my eyes, but it remained the same as with my eyes closed. I am now aware that this is a vision. The creature seemed to fade away.

The creature returned again.

A second time, "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus," I declared and prayed in tongues.

The Lord revealed to my spirit this was called, 'Deception'. The creature seemed to try to mesmerize me.

I asked, "Lord, how do I take care of this?"

"Take the dagger from your belt and thrust it through the front." I heard His voice speak to my spirit.

By faith I obeyed, and again the Lord spoke, "It is a fatal thrust." Then the creature disappeared.

I usually heard Rohan leave at 2 am and it only seemed a short time when I heard Raj leave at 8 am.

On the day that Bill returned from Delhi, I spent quite a bit of time with Joshua and Florie in English phonogram and grammar training. In the evening I gave the last two tests for the Mastery certificate. Seven of the eight people will receive the certificate.

I usually have to spend two or more hours at the cyber café to do my emails. Steve sent us another Elijahlist prophecy. January 2nd words are currently in operation at IPH. The January 10th words are beginning too. Lord, we ask you forYour anointings and receive them along with Your wisdom in the name of Jesus. Thank You.

I had another vision of a creature when I went to bed. This time I saw a creature that amazed me as it slowly moved toward me. I could not distinguish a distinct form to be able to describe it with particular arms and legs. Instead, it looked like a broken mirror that was still stuck together from the inside. The breaks were in long shards in long narrow triangles offset from each other. It moved in such a way that occasionally it would catch a brief glimmer of light to reflect it. It reminded me of someone who tried to send Morse code using a mirror on a far hill.

The creature came very close to me. In fact, I saw its little beady eyes blinking at me in the location where the narrow parts of the mirrors met to make the face the form of a starburst. I felt that it was so close to me I could reach out to touch it.

"Lord, what is this thing?" I did not feel fearful.

"It is a religious spirit."

"How do I deal with this thing?" I inquired. But before I received an answer, the creature disappeared.

I thought about what this creature did before it defected. It was mirror-like, so it must have been in the presence of God to reflect His glory. Now it is 'broken'. It is still trying to reflect something, because of the way it moves and tried to take away my attention. Prophetically, I know that this creature will have great success in these last days. It will be a formidable foe without the power of God in the life of a believer. I knew that I would have to learn more, before I would be able to successfully deal with this one.

Today is Florie's birthday. It is also Pratiba's from Pune. She and Pastor Prashant are here. Emma and I spent the afternoon counseling them about what the Lord is doing. They spent most of the day in the sanctuary receiving from the Lord and ministering to Him.

I spent some of the afternoon doing phonogram preparation with Florie and Joshua, and then Joshua spent time with Pravin, who came with the pastor from Pune.

During prayer time, a person disturbed Florie while she was on the red carpet with a trivial thing. Later that night at home, that lady cried most of the night, because God showed her what she had done wrong. This was a turning point for this individual lady. She came to apologize and confessed to Florie. She now regards her as a mother, a servant of God who loves her flock as children. She now attends faithfully and helps Florie when she is needed.

I had the opportunity to input my LCWM financials, make the IPH Phonogram certificates, and the IPH ID badges. It was good to get caught up.

In the Friday night prayer worship, whatever Emma prayed while she was on the red carpet, the Lord gave it to whoever was also on the carpet or in the sanctuary. By prophetic action, I got to reap harvest by faith three times indicating the growing harvest of sheaves.

I am the 'catcher' for those the Lord touches with His power. I caught Emma two times, Florie three times, and also Salome, who were slain in the Spirit. Graceson received interpretation of tongues. He told me that he understood what his mother was saying in tongues, but because he was waving the glory flags, he forgot to tell Pastor what she said. It was new to him, so he has to learn.

Satan attempted to steal the anointing, but he was bound and prevented by removing the hindrance.

Gladson obeyed the Lord to pray in tongues and sing a song. He loosed the tongue of the eight year old to speak clearly.

I spent the entire Saturday morning in prayer. After lunch I did more phonogram testing, while Emma attended the ladies meeting, where she prayed for every woman who came.

The late afternoon youth meeting became a prayer time with more touches and visions from God.

Pastor Prashant's mother, aunt, and eldest son, Sharon, arrived. Sharon, eight years old, went forward to pray and got to fly to heaven in his vision from Jesus.

Charles younger brother, Carrie, went to talk to Jesus. In his vision he saw two pathways. One was lighted and the other was not. He took the lighted pathway until it ended at a train. He climbed into the train car. The train took him to heaven. He got off, met, and talked with Jesus.

Sunday morning, Pastor Paul preached under the anointing the Lord gave to him and to Charles for interpreting. He saw and felt the ministering difference.

I rested before the Lord peacefully for two hours. He encouraged me letting me know that I would not miss out on anything He has planned for me according to His timing. I am to just impart what He says, that is by faith and disburse His joy to others. I was laughing under His anointing.

I spent time working with Florie on the Phonogram ceremony preparations. I had a class with the teachers covering the new blue book teacher's lesson book.

Pastor Prashant and Pratiba got back to Pune late Sunday evening. Pastor was on his way to work when he felt very strongly to go home. He turned around and went home. Pratiba told him that they needed to return to IPH for more of what they received in the sanctuary. So late afternoon they were back in the sanctuary.

Emma was at prayer in the evening with Pastor Dennis, Pastor Prashant, and Pastor Ravi. Dennis saw huge satan eyes and teeth. It was so frightening to him that he handed the glory flags to the other two pastors to wave while he did prophetic action warfare. This was new to the other pastors.

Later, Emma received a call from her pastor in Texas, who relayed a dream with bulging satan eyes and teeth. Emma told her what happened in the church.

Tuesday, the 22nd, I finished my portion of the phonograms. I spent the rest of my day in the throne room. The Lord gave me 'finger exercises' while I was on the floor at the altar.

While on the carpet, I got 'threshed' over the improper handling of precious things. I didn't even realize what happened until I was sharing with Emma, about feeling beat up all over my body and unable to get up. She laughed, because she knew what it was like.

I received a bronze bow and I began to thank the Lord, using scripture. But the scripture I used to thank Him was inappropriate. I was to simply lay it on the altar for the church. Ignorance is not bliss…I wasn't thinking that it was 'mine', only thinking about Psalm 144:1, "…trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle…"[individual, not corporately inclusive] Yet, it was wrong, therefore, I was open to the threshing that put me spiritually in a battle setting where I suffered. This is also why I felt someone standing on my arm to hold it down. The bronze bow was left lying on the altar.

I worked on the account books with Pastor Paul for a little while after breakfast. We had too many interruptions which interfered with what we needed to do.

I gave some key spelling words to Joshua for his own benefit. He will start college night classes in July. These should help him.

Florie in her sense of cooking adventure attempted to make yeast bread, but without instruction or reading the directions. I tried to show her and give some help, but the advocate (attorney) and his family came for prayer. We need to get proper measuring utensils on the next shopping trip. We baked that attempt of bread and it was still not completely baked by midnight. [The oven is a version like a toaster oven.]

Bill stayed back at the pastor's house to go with him to Mumbai in the morning to tend to our airline ticket changes.

Emma and I slept in for an hour longer than usual. We waited for Florie to pick us up to go to the Mulund market to get more needed items. After shopping I can finish the Phonogram gift packs for the teachers and get the certificates in order for the presentations.

The 26th is Independence Day for India. Joshua and several of the young people are doing some celebrations with the children in Wadli Pada in the afternoon. Then they will be back in time for the Phonogram Teacher Ceremony. We have invited the parents also.

All activities in the hall have been cancelled since the transition, so everyone squeezed into the downstairs room of the pastor's home for the presentations. We don't despise our small beginnings. There is always next year…

The teachers enjoyed the evening and receiving their certificates, teacher ID badges, and teaching tools. The most important tool they considered special was the cellphone -- restricted for one-way communication only. The final gift (they didn't know) was that they would get a little pocket money. For most of the teachers this was the first money they have ever earned.

The phonogram students presented to me, on behalf of LCWM, a set of six mugs for the Board members and a thermos pitcher for use with the mugs. They expressed their gratitude for LCWM making the English Phonogram Classes possible for them.

The 28th morning we moved out of the Powar house. I left a love gift for them. We readjusted our suitcases at the pastor's house to leave what we wouldn't need in Kerala.

In the evening, the phonogram teachers met at Florie's request. They asked me to come and speak to the teachers. They surprised me with a gold chain with a cross on it -- to make me an "official Hindustani lady". They had all pitched in some of their "pocket money" to purchase the chain – after they paid their tithe first. What a demonstration of the love of God through His children!!! [This was my secret answer for closure for the five years of mentoring. ]

Our train left the station at 11:40 am on the 29th. Pastor didn't want us to leave, but we encouraged him. Pastor Dennis handed us a faith offering [and to Emma] as he felt the Lord directed him. (This action encouraged us. We have been teaching them about the blessing of giving in obedience.) Pastor Paul only got off the train just before it started to move.

Bill was sitting in the berth area they assigned to Emma at the end of the car. She and I sat in the berth Bill and I were assigned at the other end, but parallel to the tracks. I indicated this to the conductor when he came to check our tickets.

Later in the day, the conductor came to tell us, "The people scheduled in the area where your husband is sitting did not get on. Would you like to be together for rest of the trip?"

"Yes, sir, thank you for telling us." We got our things and found Bill sitting at the window, looking like a lonely puppy, which was happy to see us join him.

We arrived to Ernakulum Junction a half hour late. Charls was there by the time we got our baggage off the train. He made sure that Bill and Emma had a comfortable place to sit while he took me out of the station to the office where we could buy our tickets back to Mumbai. The soonest that a seat was available for the three of us was the 19th February.

We then had to wait for two hours for the local train to Kottayam. The train was so crowded that we had to stand next to our luggage at the door entrance for the hour and a half ride. Our feet, legs, and back were sore by the time we got to the destination. Charls got an auto rickshaw with a luggage rack. It was a whole lot cheaper than the taxi. We got to Charls father's house by 8 pm very hungry.

Sweety and the children met us at the doorway. They were so happy to see us after two years. Sarah, Charls mother, was introduced to us as soon as we got to the door.

She turned to Sweety, and told her, "They are wearing jewelry. Tell them to remove it."

"We are all set free and have liberty, because of the shed blood of Jesus," smiling at her.[I knew that this kind of bondage existed, especially in Kerala. I didn't expect it to meet me at the door!]

Sweety had our supper waiting for us. It really tasted good to me!

I was so tired, but before sleeping, I slathered on a lot of Melaleuca's Pain-a-trate on my feet, legs, and back. I love the smell of peppermint!!! Sorry, honey. [Bill prefers perfume over peppermint.]

I awoke at 10 am on the last day of January! A cup of tea was brought in while I was dressing…nice! We had breakfast and spent some time visiting with Sweety and Charls' folks while the kids were in school.

Charls came home from the bible college at 1:30 pm, ate lunch and took Bill to town to get a haircut.

Emma, Sweety and I stopped to pray for Charls' aunt and cousin while we walked to the market to get vegetables.

Charls' father has a religiously regimented practice of song and prayer in the evening. We were invited to join them the first night. But when the anointing came, He gave me a mantle of humility to put on Charls, along with healing oil and incense vial. Emma prayed anointings for Charls and Sweety, and then prayed for Sarah's pain in her hand. Sarah saw a great body of water, so we encouraged her to drink in her healing. Kurian said nothing during the whole prayer time. It didn't take us long to find out that he does not like women to pray or be in ministry – we were not invited again to the devotions.

I got to bed by one am, after Bill put hair oil on my head, but I didn't sleep. I just held my hands up to worship. The Lord gave me a box.

"Lord, what is this I am holding?"

"I have given you giftings and callings to put in your heart." I obeyed with an action of putting a treasured gift into my heart.

Then He gave me a mantle to put on, but He did not tell me which one. I worshipped and fell asleep.
