December 26th Quake

Hi. We are in the northern part of West Bengal. The southern coast near Calcutta was impacted, but information is limited to us by TV availability. We do know that with all the countries affected, the death toll is likely to be close to 100,000, not including the threat from disease created in disasters like this. The believers are praying for the Lord to send in those who are near and can use this as a chance to touch people with love through their grieving.

Today we are in Bhutan to do this email. The lines are extremely slow. Our NW seismologists have been trying to let the public know to be prepared for a possible 9.0 quake, but the media won't let them. Perhaps this may cause people in our area to wake up to the reality of something this massive and the aftermath will include famine due to all the rivers and perhaps inability to get goods through just like some places from this quake. The Lord is merciful. This may be another wake up call for believers to rise up and take advantage of the opportunities to introduce new children to their heavenly Father. Isn't that what we are all supposed to do?
