Bill & Georgene Hawkins return to India for another busy time of ministry!

"This is the day that the Lord has made, we will be glad and rejoice in it!" Ps 118:24

Hi, Bill Hawkins here. My wife, Georgene, and I founded LCWM in 1995. We have been doing missionary work in India since 1991, teaching in bible colleges, working with the nationals, helping start new churches, and mentoring pastors and their families, including single men and women. Our portfolio also includes ministry in six other countries.

We are sending you this informational letter to keep you up to date with what the Lord is doing in our lives. We need your specific prayers for wisdom, strength, direction, instruction, and provision for Georgene and I. We are ready to move into this next challenging assignment with the same attitude that we go to India or anywhere else we are sent... "Here we are Lord, send us!"

"And it is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." Luke 1:17.

From this Scripture, the Lord spoke to my heart about five years ago the need to restore relationships with prodigal fathers and sons (children). Two years ago a book, The Road Back Home, Restoring Relationships between Fathers and Sons, was written telling my life story. My father was a great mentor. Today, I’m a father, a stepfather, a grandfather of fifteen, and a great-grandfather – lots of chances to mentor!

God put this dream and vision into my heart to start a reconciliation ministry on a ranch, where fathers and sons, or families, can come and hang out: go horseback riding, fishing, play games, sit around campfires at night to get to know one another again, just having fun.

In our travels and ministering in several churches in the United States, pastors have shared with us that the Church has been weak in reconciliation of this type. So we feel that there is a great need in America for this ministry, especially among the First American Nations.

On July 18th, 2008, the Lord led then showed us a piece of property in Durant, Oklahoma, which was for sale by owner. We had "happened" to see it on the Internet the year before when the purchase price was $550,000. After getting back from India, a year later, we saw the property price was reduced to $469,000.

We had looked at other pieces of land in the area, but we "felt the Presence of the Lord" when we were on this property. This was where He wanted us to start the Triple R Ministry (Restored & Refreshed Relationships).

The second ‘R’ in the triple was laid on Georgene’s heart, likely stemming from our own experiences in ministry. There is a need for ministers and their spouses to have ‘time-out and mini-retreats in order to refresh the relationship between each individually with God and between them as a couple. She has already begun to pray for the restful hide-away cabin with all the details of hospitality that she likes to have in order to serve.

The Circle A4 Ranch, as we have named it, is a beautiful fifty-four acre ranch with a beautiful energy efficient home with three bedrooms and two baths. The property has a new steel, well-insulated shop containing a bunkhouse in one end of the 32’ x 48’ building. It has a good barn needing some cosmetic improvement.

Two ponds are stocked with fish and Lake Texoma is only fifteen minutes away. Great for those who love to fish or attempt to fish!

One hundred pecan trees follow a dry creek bed as it angles through the back of the property to provide a great means of potential income for this property. The land has good pasture and the property adjoining has twenty-four acres available for sale, which would increase the current pasture to fully provide for self-sustaining some livestock as additional potential for income. By faith we have provided five fruit trees that the seller has cheerfully planted on our behalf. A large garden could supply a front yard stand with its harvest.

A two car detached garage is a perfect building to be renovated into a small chapel that we have dubbed "The Glory Barn Chapel".

When we shared our vision with the sellers to start the reconciliation ministry there, they agreed to sell us the property for $400,000, which we felt was a very fair price. We stepped out in faith to sign a purchase contract and gave the down payment with the agreement to pay the balance in a balloon in one year.

Since Public Relations for LCWM is my responsibility, during prayer the Lord put on my heart to ask 400 people to give a $1000.00 tax-deductible donation, so that we can own the property outright. Because there are other expenses involved in the preparation of the ranch and for the establishing of Triple R Ministry, more finances than named here will be required. [We are open to anyone who would want to "sponsor" to buy the property for us and let us run it until it can be debt-free.] We know and trust the Lord for His plans; we just don’t know how He will bring it forth, only that people are involved. Are you one He has touched?

Finally, this work is greater than the two of us and we are praying for the Lord of the Harvest to send laborers into the harvest field. This ministry assignment is not our idea. It is the Master’s plan. We are waiting and looking to Him for how He wants make provision that will give all honor and glory to Him through it. Every laborer has to trust the Lord for His provision as stewards and servants of the Most High. ‘Ministry’ means serving and it also means work, hard work, but satisfying work which brings pleasure to the Master as He sees souls coming into the kingdom, souls being healed, souls restored to God and to one another. If the Lord has already begun to stir your heart to be a part of this field of harvest in this work, please contact us.

If you are a pastor or leader in the church who knows us and our ministry, or a friend or family member, please present this letter to your congregation, or to a businessman who needs a tax write-off. We have agreed to close the contract by September 1st, 2009.

Your prayers and support are greatly needed and appreciated to keep us in the pathways of ministry to accomplish the will of the Kingdom of God on the earth.

We love you,

Bill and Georgene Hawkins
