Life Changing Words Ministry

News from India - 1/23/2005

What is in store in 2005 for L.C.W.M.!

The L.C.W.M. Board is looking forward into the new year. In April Bill and Georgene will be returning from their trip in India. You might want to invite them to your church to hear what happened, and to hear what they are looking to do in coming day's. You could set up such a visit now by contacting L.C.W.M. Trustee Brian Hoshowski through his ministry connection board@lifechangingwordsministry.org. Or by using his e-mail address efsallstate@hotmail.com! You might also contact him through his phone number 503-209-8514. We are actively wanting to have Bill and Georgene meeting as many of you as we can, so lets get in touch and set up a date.

We are also looking at fund raising. There will be another golf tournament, and a Luncheon. Where Bill and Georgene will speak. There will be many other ample opportunities to answer your questions and to get to know both of them better. Who knows, you might find yourself going with them on their next trip! I know that they are wanting a photographer to go along. Why not you!

Prayer Concerns!

In their last communication, after the tsunami. Yes They are fine. They are in Northwestern India. They expressed concern about a possible famine in the area. Pray for their health, transportation, and that they get the rest that they would need for the work that is ahead . Pray for the people that they will touch. May they be ready to receive from the Lord, and may the Work of the Lord be heard in the land!

A Word From The President

Hello, everyone, and welcome to 2005. I pray your year has started off well.

To begin, an update on Bill & Georgene: They are roughly halfway through their current trip, and things have gone well so far. They were far enough inland to not be directly affected by the tsunami. However, they pointed out that with the rivers affected, there could be famine inland; and even without famine, the distribution of goods throughout India will be more difficult with all the coastal damage. Please keep everyone affected -- coastal and inland -- in your prayers.

As you may or may not know, Life Changing Words now has it's own website, http://www.lifechangingwordsministry.org/. On the site, we have an introduction to who we are, including a history of the Ministry. There's a photo gallery, with pictures from the 2004 Golf Scramble, a school begun this fall in Warli Pada, and other photos from the field. As Georgene is able to get access to e-mail, she is sending us journal entries, telling what they've been doing recently: as soon as we get them, we put them on te site under "Missionary Journal". And finally, if you missed, or misplaced, one of the previous newsletter, you can find them Archived in the "Newsletter" section. There is a section for all the "Missionary Journal's" sent by Georgene that you might like to review. That would be in the Archived section as well.

We appreciate your support. Please keep the Hawkins in your prayers as they continue to minister in India.

Have a blessed day
Peter Jones, L.C.W.M. President
